Samaritans

Samaritans respond to a call for help every 6 seconds. Since 1953 they have been dedicated to reducing feelings of isolation and disconnection that can lead to suicide. If you are having a mental health crisis or experiencing suicidal thoughts call 116 123.

Mind

Mind are the mental health charity. They’re there to make sure no one has to face a mental health problem alone. They provide information, support, as well as campaigning to improve mental health services and raise awareness. 

Hospitality Action

Hospitality Action was established in 1837 and has since offered vital assistance to all who work, or have worked within hospitality in the UK. They provide an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), financial grants, and advice for those in the industry.

Black CHEFS Collective

The Black CHEFS Collective aims to champion Black achievement in food as well as the lack of Black representation in the industry, and discriminatory food industry norms. 

We Recover Loudly

We recover loudly are a group of hospitality professionals and recovery enthusiasts who are all about initiating conversations around alcohol and drug addiction in the industry.

They provide training, resources, and peer-to-peer support for those within hospitality looking to make positive change to their drinking habits.

Be Inclusive Hospitality

Be Inclusive Hospitality is a not-for-profit organisation building a thriving community to accelerate race equity within hospitality food and drink.Their vision is to create a hospitality industry that is equitable and inclusive for Black, Asian, and Ethnic Minorities at all levels.

Unichef

Unichef is the UK’s national union for chefs. Run by chefs the aim of the union is to support and understand the issues faced by chefs, and raise standards in kitchens across the country.

Countertalk

Countertalk is on a mission to promote and highlight healthy working environments, connect people, and engage in meaningful actions to improve the hospitality industry. They run events, provide advice, promote excellent jobs within the industry.

Not 9 to 5

 Not 9 to 5  is a global non profit leader in mental health advocacy and education in the hospitality sector. They platform hospitality specific resources from all over the world, provide tools for education and reform and are on a mission to normalise mental health support and accommodation across the industry.

Fair Kitchens

Fair Kitchens is fighting for a more resilient and sustainable foodservice and hospitality industry, calling for change by showing that a healthier culture makes for a healthier business. It strives to make the industry a fairer, more inclusive and happier place to be.

Substance Misuse

 Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous both offer in person and online meetings. Both provide free recovery support for those with the desire to stop using drugs or drinking.

BEAT Eating Disorders

BEAT Eating Disorders provides advice, support, and guidance for those experiencing eating disorders as well as their family and friends.

Switchboard

Switchboard is the national LGBTQIA+ support line. They provide space to explore, talk and be heard on all. subjects including sexual health, relationships, and gender identity. Switchboard can be contacted via phone, email, and chat.

Galop

Galop support LGBTQIA+ people who have experienced abuse. They provide a helpline, a referral service, and online community for those who have experienced abuse or violence. Galop also publish research into LGTBQIA+ experiences of violence to influence national policy and improve outcomes.

ACAS

ACAS provides impartial, free advice for employees and employers. They can help with contracts, pay, hours, grievances, sick leave and much more.

Shelter

Shelter provides housing advice to anyone who needs it. They support people experiencing homelessness as well as those renting privately and through council housing.
